गाँव की युवतियां
एक नियत दिशा में
कुछ घबरायी हुई सी जा रही हैं
मेरे भी मन में उठी एक जिज्ञासा
आखिर ये कहाँ जा जा रही हैं
जरूर कोई अनहोनी हुई है
इसी उधेड़ -बुन में उलझा हुआ
मैं भी उनका अनुगामी हो गया
थोड़ी ही देर में
एक नियत दिशा से
आई
सामूहिक करुण क्रंदन कि आवाज़
मैं ठिठका
जरूर कोई अनहोनी हुई है
थोड़ी ही देर में
मैंने अपने आपको
कुछ व्यक्तियों के बीच में पाया
हर व्यक्ति चुप
भीड़
मगर सूनसान
शोर
मगर करुण क्रंदन
जो कि युवतियों का है
अपनी जिज्ञासा का हल
ढूढने कि लालसा से
मैं भी
युवतियों की तरफ बढ़ा
जहाँ युवतियां
किसी नियत व्यक्ति के
अतीत का चरित्र चित्रण कर रही थी
साथ ही साथ सिसकियाँ ले रही थी
बच्चे अपने -अपने संबंधों से
पुकार रहे थे
चीख रहे थे
सबकी आंखों में थे
मगर मेरे नहीं
यद्यपि दुःख मुझे भी था
मेरी भी आँखों के समक्ष
उनका अतीत घूम रहा था
कोशिश करते हुए भी
मैं रो नहीं पा रहा था
शायद इसीलिए कि
वे मेरे उतने आत्मीय नहीं
जितने कि उन लोगों के
जिनकी आँखों में थे आंसू
या मेरा उनसे कोई
स्वार्थ नहीं था
इसीलिए ...........

DEATH
Through this poem the poet wants to describe an event of death by a real event in his life, at that time what he realized that women of a village feeling some disturbences, are going in a certain direction. A question raised in my mind too, where are they going ? Its may be some mis happening in the village, solving this puzzle I chase them, after some time sound of crying of women from a certain direction, I stumbbled, certainly some thing mis happenings in the village. In a few moment I found myself among some person where every one were silent.There were crowd but silence, there were noise that was weeping sound of women. To satisfy my curiosity I approached towards the women where women were describing the character of a certain person and sobbing too. children were addressing him/her with their relations, they were crying too and their eyes were wet with tears, but my eyes were dry aalthough I was feeling grief too. his/her past film was moving in front of my eyes too, even I was trying to weep but failed perhaps it was so that he/her was not so close to me as close to them who have tears in their eyes or I have no job to him.
